Launched in 1991 by Christian Mathieu, Kenzo pour Homme is a unisex fragrance that embodies the brand's distinctive blend of Japanese inspiration and French elegance. The composition opens with bright citrus notes like bergamot and lemon, infused with the freshness of sage and sea notes, creating an aromatic and aquatic opening. As it evolves, the scent transitions into a heart of carnation, nutmeg, rose, and lily-of-the-valley, adding layers of warmth and complexity. The base notes of sandalwood, cedar, musk, oakmoss, vetiver, and amber anchor the fragrance with a woody, powdery comfort.
Apply two sprays to ensure the citrus-aromatic top notes have time to bloom before giving way to the heart and base. This fragrance is best worn during cooler weather when its woody warmth can be fully appreciated.
