The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2003, Eau de Lalique by Lalique is a collaboration between Émilie Coppermann and Jean-Claude Ellena, two renowned perfumers known for their innovative compositions. The fragrance opens with garden dill and cardamom, creating an aromatic freshness that cuts through the sweetness of citrus notes like bergamot and lemon. This bright opening gives way to a heart of freesia and hibiscus, which adds a floral softness before settling into a warm base of sandalwood, guaiac wood, and benzoin. The result is a complex, nuanced scent that blends the freshness of nature with the warmth of spices.
Apply two sprays to your pulse points — the aromatic top notes are bright but short-lived, while the warm base develops gradually over time. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than across a room, so aim for intimate settings where its nuances can be fully appreciated.
