The story behind the bottle.
L'Insoumis by Lalique, launched in 2016 and crafted by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that captures the essence of rebellion and freedom. The composition opens with bright notes of basil and bergamot, which give way to a heart of clary sage, lavender, and black pepper, creating an aromatic complexity that feels both fresh and spicy. This contrast leads into a woody base anchored by Haitian vetiver, patchouli, and moss, grounding the fragrance in earthy warmth.
This fragrance has a strong opening that fades into its base notes over an hour. Apply two sprays to ensure you catch both the initial brightness and the eventual warmth. Best worn in cooler weather when the aromatic and earthy aspects can shine without overpowering.
