Launched in 1974 by Lancôme, Balafre Brun is a Woody Chypre fragrance for men that captures the essence of French elegance and sophistication. The composition opens with bright citrus notes — bergamot and lemon — before evolving into an aromatic heart of chamomile, lavender, pine needles, and cloves. These elements create a crisp yet warm atmosphere, leading to a rich base of tobacco, leather, oakmoss, cedar, vetiver, sandalwood, and amber. The result is a scent that feels both classic and lasting.
