Frank Voelkl crafted Baie Rose 26 Chicago in 2011 as part of Le Labo’s distinct approach to fragrance — one that eschews mass-market conventions for a more intimate and nuanced experience. This Floral Aldehyde scent opens with aldehydic notes, creating an immediate sense of brightness and crispness, before the rose takes center stage. The warm spicy and musky accords add depth and warmth, grounding the composition in a subtle yet enduring way.
Apply lightly at first — the aldehydic top notes are bright but quickly give way to the richer base. Allow it to settle for about ten minutes before heading out; this will ensure that both the rose and warm spicy elements come through clearly throughout the day.
