Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Vetiver 46 Perfume Oil, launched by Le Labo in 2012 and crafted by perfumer Mark Buxton, is a composition that marries the freshness of bergamot and black pepper with the earthy warmth of vetiver and guaiac wood. The scent opens with a bright, spicy burst before settling into a rich, woody base marked by labdanum and amber. This fragrance embodies the brand's signature approach to creating refined, sophisticated scents that stand out through their distinct accords.
Apply Vetiver 46 sparingly — its rich base notes will develop on skin over time. The spicy top notes are brief but powerful, so one or two sprays to key pulse points should be sufficient for a full day’s wear.

Mark Buxton
The blind-test prodigyMark Buxton, born in England and raised near Hamburg, entered perfumery almost by accident: at 21, a German game show challenge to identify 600 perfumes by scent alone caught the attention of Haarmann & Reimer, who offered him a place in their Paris training program.
