Launched in 2002, Vetiver Extraordinaire by Frederic Malle is Dominique Ropion's ode to the earthy and woody accords that define this composition. The fragrance opens with a bright citrus-aromatic blend of bitter orange and bergamot, which gives way to a complex heart of spices like pepper, cardamom, and cloves. At its core, vetiver takes center stage, anchored by cedar, sandalwood, and musk, creating a warm and powdery base that is both comforting and grounding.
