HeartThe Soul
The story behind the bottle.
Francis Kurkdjian launched A La Rose in 2014 as a sophisticated floral composition that marries the freshness of citrus with the depth of powdery and woody notes. The fragrance opens with Calabrian bergamot, litchi, and pear, creating a bright, juicy accord that contrasts beautifully against the heart of Bulgarian and Grasse rose, violet, and sweet pea. This juxtaposition ensures A La Rose feels both modern and lasting. As it dries down, musk and cedar provide a warm, enveloping base that keeps the scent from feeling overly floral or heavy.
A La Rose has a strong initial burst from its citrus top notes, but they fade quickly. Apply two sprays for the best longevity — you want to ensure that the rich rose heart and musky base have time to develop on your skin. This fragrance is better suited for cooler weather or indoor settings where its warmth can be fully appreciated.
