Francis Kurkdjian launched Absolue Pour le Matin in 2010 as a fresh take on the citrus-aromatic genre. The fragrance opens with bright lemon and bergamot, evoking the clarity of a summer morning. As it settles into its heart, Moroccan white thyme and Tunisian neroli introduce a subtle spiciness and floral depth. The composition then transitions to powdery notes and iris, creating an enveloping warmth that feels both modern and lasting.
One to two sprays on pulse points are sufficient — the citrus notes are bright but fleeting. The powdery base emerges after an hour, so it's best applied before stepping out for the day. It reads better close to skin than across a room.
