The story behind the bottle.
Falcon Leather by Matière Première is a composition that captures the essence of leather and smoke with an oriental twist. Launched in 2019 and crafted by perfumer Aurélien Guichard, this fragrance opens with saffron and labdanum, creating a warm and spicy accord that transitions into a smoky heart of birch tar and agarwood (oud). The base notes of benzoin add an animalic depth, while tobacco rounds out the scent with a rich, earthy warmth. Falcon Leather is neither strictly masculine nor feminine, embodying the lasting elegance of leather paired with the complexity of oriental accords.
Apply Falcon Leather in light layers to allow its rich and complex notes to develop gradually. The smoky and animalic elements take time to bloom, so a few sprays initially will ensure that the fragrance evolves beautifully throughout the day.
