The story behind the bottle.
Ithaka by Mendittorosa, launched in 2019 and crafted by perfumer Camille Chemardin, is inspired by the poem 'Ithaka' written by Greek poet C.P. Cavafy. This fragrance opens with a bright burst of bergamot that quickly gives way to an intricate blend of incense, magnolia, and benzoin, creating a warm and spicy heart. The base notes of cypriol oil or nagarmotha, labdanum, Virginia cedar, and patchouli ground the composition in earthy and woody depths. Ithaka is part of Mendittorosa's Versi Studio trilogy, exploring poetry through perfumery, and each bottle features a hand-crafted wooden cap with a distinctive symbol—a small boat in the sea.
Apply Ithaka in light layers to allow its rich notes to unfold gradually. The incense and magnolia heart adds warmth close to skin, while the woody base provides longevity throughout the day. Ideal for evening wear when you want a scent that evolves with you.

Camille Chemardin was born April 12, 1997, in Lyon, France, and decided to become a perfumer after visiting the Fragonard perfume museum in Grasse at age 10, inspired by L'Eau des Merveilles and her grandfather's Habit Rouge.
