Mauna by Mendittorosa, launched in 2024 and crafted by Cristiano Canali, is a composition that balances the fresh spicy notes of ginger and black pepper with the warm embrace of sandalwood and benzoin. The fragrance opens with the invigorating freshness of olibanum and ginger, creating an immediate contrast against the rich warmth of tonka bean and styrax in the base. This interplay between brightness and depth creates a scent that feels both grounded and uplifting.
Apply Mauna lightly to pulse points and let it develop over time. The spicy top notes are bright but short-lived, while the woody and balsamic base notes take about an hour to fully bloom. This makes it ideal for daytime wear when you want a fragrance that evolves with your mood.
