Intense Cafe by Montale, launched in 2013 and crafted by Pierre Montale, is an Oriental Vanilla fragrance that has become one of the most widely discussed compositions in perfumery circles. The scent opens with floral notes, giving way to a heart of rose and coffee before settling into a base of vanilla, white musk, and amber. This distinctive blend of jammy rose, coffee-latte character, and long-lasting warmth has made it both beloved by fans for its distinctive profile and criticized by some as overly sweet. Its signature accord has inspired numerous budget alternatives from various brands.
One spray is enough to capture its essence without overpowering. The jammy rose notes are bright but fade within an hour, leaving the warm, powdery base to linger for hours.
