The story behind the bottle.
Oud Tobacco by Montale was launched in 2020, crafted by Pierre Montale, who brings his extensive experience in creating perfumes for Arabian nobility to each of his compositions. This fragrance opens with a bright citrus and sumac accord that immediately captures attention, followed by the warm embrace of tobacco and vanilla. The heart features orange blossom and incense, balancing the composition with floral notes before settling into an amber and oud base that reads as rich and enveloping.
Start with one or two sprays — the citrus opening is bright but fades quickly into the deeper notes. The base of amber and oud takes about an hour to fully bloom on skin, so plan accordingly. This fragrance reads best close to the skin rather than in a large space.
