The story behind the bottle.
Patchouli Ink by Montblanc was launched in 2024 and is the creation of perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin. This fragrance immerses you in the rich heritage of Montblanc calligraphy, capturing the essence of ink on paper. The top note of bergamot provides a fresh citrus lift before giving way to the distinctive middle note of ink, which brings an intriguing smokiness and depth. At its heart, patchouli and vanilla intertwine, creating a warm, earthy base that evokes the sensation of writing with a fountain pen.
Patchouli Ink is best applied lightly to pulse points. The top note of bergamot fades quickly, so the smoky, earthy base notes take center stage within an hour. This fragrance reads better close to skin than from across a room, making it perfect for intimate settings or quiet moments.
