The story behind the bottle.
Jordi Fernández crafted Haltane, launched by Parfums de Marly in 2021, as a Woody Aromatic fragrance that balances the warmth of oud and spices with the freshness of lavender and bergamot. The composition opens with an aromatic blend of clary sage and lavender, punctuated by the bright zest of bergamot. As it evolves, saffron and praline introduce a subtle sweetness, while agarwood (oud) and cedar anchor the scent with rich woody warmth. This fragrance is neither overly bold nor understated — it strikes a harmonious balance that feels both modern and lasting.
One or two sprays are enough to capture Haltane's intricate balance. The fresh spicy notes fade within a couple of hours but leave behind a rich woody warmth that lasts throughout the day.
