The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2016, L'Insomnuit by Robert Piguet is crafted by perfumer Aurélien Guichard and presents an intriguing interplay of powdery warmth and earthy depth. The composition opens with a fresh burst of bergamot and plum before diving into the heart where iris and orris root create a delicate floral tension. This floral core is enveloped in a warm, spicy base of sandalwood, tonka bean, cedar, cypriol, and agarwood (oud), resulting in a fragrance that feels both intimate and expansive.
Apply this fragrance with two sprays to allow the powdery heart notes to blend with the spicy base. It blooms best close to skin rather than filling a room, making it perfect for an evening out or late-night work sessions.
