The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1946, Mousseline by Rochas was crafted by the renowned perfumer Edmond Roudnitska. The fragrance opens with bright citrus and aldehydes, which give way to a rich heart of orange blossom, violet leaf, and carnation, anchored by warm spices like cloves and black pepper. The base notes are a harmonious blend of woody, musky, and earthy accords, featuring patchouli, vetiver, oakmoss, and ambergris. This composition creates a sense of lasting elegance that feels both classic and modern.
Apply Mousseline to pulse points for an intimate warmth that builds on skin. The spicy heart notes will emerge after about 30 minutes, followed by the rich base notes. This fragrance is best enjoyed close to the skin rather than diffused in a room.
