Melograno by Santa Maria Novella was launched in 1965 and has since been a proof of the brand's dedication to sophisticated and earthy compositions. The fragrance opens with bright notes of bitter orange and bergamot, creating an invigorating freshness that immediately captures attention. As it evolves, spices and pomegranate introduce a warm spiciness and fruity depth, while ylang-ylang and rose add a floral richness. The heart is anchored by the earthy and mossy base notes of oakmoss, patchouli, labdanum, and musk, which ground the composition in an enduring warmth.
Apply this fragrance in light layers — its woody and mossy base notes develop best close to skin. The bright citrus top notes last around an hour, after which the warm spices and fruity heart take center stage.
