The story behind the bottle.
Céline Barel crafted Oud in Oak for Scents of Wood in 2020, creating a composition that marries the warmth and depth of oud with the rich, smoky notes of oak. The fragrance opens with fresh and warm spices, which cut through the sweetness of citrus before settling into a balsamic heart that melds seamlessly with woody and amber accords. This interplay between bright freshness and deep richness creates an olfactory experience that feels both grounding and uplifting.
Apply this fragrance with a light hand — the balsamic and woody notes will develop on your skin over time. It’s best worn in cooler weather or indoors to fully appreciate its depth without being overwhelmed by heat.
