Roja Dove launched The Oud in 2023, crafting it as an Oriental Woody fragrance that marries the warm intensity of oud with a rich blend of floral and spicy notes. At its core is the complexity of rose and ylang-ylang, which intertwine with clove and saffron to create a depth that feels both intimate and expansive. The composition opens with a fresh burst from mandarin orange and bergamot before settling into a base of patchouli, cedarwood, and frankincense, grounding the entire fragrance in earthy warmth.

Born and raised in Sussex, South East England, his career in perfumery began in 1981 when he joined the French perfume house Guerlain, working there for 20 years before leaving to set up his own companies RDPR and then Roja Parfums.
