The story behind the bottle.
Originally launched in 1996 by Versace, The Dreamer was a statement-making fragrance that broke away from the freshness trend dominant at the time. It opens with an aromatic blend of juniper and tarragon, leading to the heart notes of iris and lily. The base, featuring tobacco blossom and amber, is famously polarizing — some find it distinctive, while others compare it unfavorably to cardboard. This contrast between fresh spices and powdery woods creates a composition that is decidedly Versace: bold, complex, and unmistakable.
Apply one or two sprays to your pulse points. The tobacco blossom base takes a bit to bloom but stays close to skin rather than projecting widely. Best for evenings when you want a scent that is subtle yet distinctive.
