The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2015 by WIDIAN, IV is a collaboration between perfumers Ali Aljaberi and Jean-Claude Astier. This Oriental Vanilla fragrance opens with the bright burst of plum and black currant, setting a fruity and sweet tone that transitions seamlessly into white flowers and rose. The heart of vanilla adds warmth, while musk, leather, and sandalwood create an animalic and powdery base that grounds the composition in earthy richness. IV is neither overly sweet nor too heavy, striking a harmonious balance between its various accords.
Apply IV sparingly — its sweet top notes fade quickly, but the powdery and musky base stays close to skin for hours. It’s best suited for evenings or cooler weather when you want a scent that feels intimate and refined.
