The story behind the bottle.
Jacques Flori created Mefisto for Xerjoff in 2009, a fragrance that balances fresh citrus and aromatic notes with a warm woody base. The opening is bright and crisp, with grapefruit, bergamot, and Amalfi lemon leading the way. As it settles, lavender, iris, and rose bring an unexpected softness to the composition. Musk, sandalwood, Virginia cedar, and amber provide warmth and depth, creating a fragrance that feels both fresh and grounded.
Apply Mefisto sparingly — its top notes are bright but fade quickly. The woody base carries the scent for hours, so a light spritz in the morning will keep you grounded throughout the day.
