Mefisto Gentiluomo by Xerjoff was launched in 2018 and created by Leslie Girard. This fragrance opens with a bright citrus-aromatic blend of grapefruit, bergamot, and lemon, which immediately captures the attention with its freshness. As it evolves, the composition introduces a delicate balance between lavender and violet, adding an intriguing powdery note to the mix. The heart of iris and rose softens this contrast before settling into a woody base that includes cedar and amber, creating a warm and enveloping finish.
Apply one to two sprays to ensure the citrus top notes are prominent but don’t overwhelm. The fragrance develops into its woody base within an hour, so it’s ideal for daytime wear when you want something that evolves throughout your day.
