The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2023 by Zara, Surfing Cape Saint Francis is an aromatic fougère fragrance for men that captures the essence of a coastal adventure. The composition opens with bright citrus and fresh spicy notes, blending bergamot and grapefruit with nutmeg and cypress. As it settles, wild berries and sea notes add depth to the aromatic heart, where lavender and violet create a soothing contrast to the vibrant opening. The base notes of vetiver, leather, and patchouli evoke a rugged and earthy warmth that anchors the scent.
Apply two sprays to your pulse points — the citrus opening is bright but fades within an hour. The aromatic heart and base notes take over and last well into the evening. This fragrance reads better close to skin, so layering it with a light mist on clothing can enhance its longevity.
