The story behind the bottle.
The Perfect Smoking, launched by Zara in 2019 and crafted by perfumer Marine Ipert, is a woody-spicy fragrance that marries the warmth of smoky incense with the crispness of fresh spices. The composition opens with black pepper and star anise for an invigorating start, giving way to heart notes of jasmine and saffron that add a touch of floral richness. Sandalwood, cedar, and vetiver form the base, providing a grounding warmth and balsamic depth. This fragrance is neither too heavy nor too light, striking a balance between aromatic freshness and woody comfort.
Apply two sprays to your pulse points for optimal longevity. The smoky base notes take about an hour to fully bloom, so a light first pass allows you to appreciate its evolution throughout the day.
