Christopher Sheldrake is a British-born perfumer who studied art history before extensive travels sparked his interest in fragrance.
He moved to Paris in the early 1980s, working for Quest and Shiseido before joining Serge Lutens in 1992, where he helped create iconic scents including Ambre Sultan and Chergui, work widely credited with establishing modern niche perfumery. In 2012 he joined Chanel as in-house perfumer, creating Coco Noir among other compositions, continuing a career built on original technique and the highest quality ingredients.
