Julie's story

The story

She studied chemistry and perfumery at ISIPCA before apprenticing as a quality controller at Fragrance Resources in Grasse, where mentor Pierre Bourdon taught her the traditional Jean Carles method. She later worked at Mane alongside Christine Nagel and Cécile Matton on fragrances for Giorgio Armani and Yves Saint Laurent, before being recruited in 2012 by Shay & Blue founder Dom De Vetta to create the brand's six inaugural fragrances, and remains its in-house perfumer. Her creations include Giorgio Armani's Sì Passione and Sì Fiori.
