Max Gavarry was born in Grasse, where his father worked as a gardener and his grandfather cultivated and distilled lavender — an upbringing that made a career in perfumery feel inevitable.
At IFF, he created fragrances for Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Estée Lauder, and Yves Rocher, among many others. His best-known creation, Halloween, was conceived as a magic potion built on the interplay of light and shadow, innocence and seduction.
