Launched in 2021 by Aaron Terence Hughes, ATH x FM Smoulder is a woody fragrance that marries the warmth of amber with the fresh spice and aromatic notes of olibanum. The scent opens with a bright citrus top note from lemon and neroli, providing an initial freshness before giving way to the heart's rich tobacco and warm spices. This contrast creates a compelling tension between brightness and depth, making it feel both invigorating and comforting. The base of sandalwood and patchouli adds a grounding effect, while the balsamic notes ensure a lingering warmth that stays close to the skin.
This fragrance blooms best with a moderate application — aim for two sprays to allow the base notes to develop fully. The citrus top notes are bright but fleeting, so the tobacco and woody accords will carry the scent throughout the day.
