The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2023 by Maison Martin Margiela and crafted by perfumer Meabh McCurtin, Under the Stars is a composition that captures the cozy ambiance of a campfire crackling beneath a mesmerizing blend of stars. The fragrance opens with a fresh spicy note from black pepper, which transitions into a leather heart that adds warmth and depth. This is further anchored by the smoky richness of oud and labdanum in the base notes, creating an enveloping aura of comfort and wonder.
Due to its rich and enveloping base notes, Under the Stars is best applied sparingly. One or two sprays will allow the smoky and leather elements to develop slowly throughout the day, providing an ever-evolving experience close to skin rather than projecting strongly into a room.
