Lineage by Amouage, launched in 2023 and crafted by Karine Vinchon Spehner, is a bold Oriental Spicy fragrance that marries the rich heritage of Middle Eastern perfumery with contemporary sophistication. The composition opens with Sichuan Pepper and Ginger, creating an immediate sense of freshness and warmth that cuts through with unexpected vibrancy. At its heart, Lineage balances the earthy depths of Olibanum and Myrrh with the spicy complexity of Fenugreek, while a base of Labdanum, Benzoin, Vetiver, and Patchouli adds a profound balsamic-woody warmth that lingers on the skin.
This fragrance has a strong projection, so one or two sprays is sufficient. The spicy top notes are most prominent for the first hour; after that, the balsamic-woody base takes center stage, making it ideal for evening wear or cooler weather when you want a scent that speaks with confidence.
