Launched in 2011 by Amouage, The Library Collection Opus V is crafted by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud and embodies the brand's commitment to blending traditional Middle Eastern perfume ingredients with contemporary sophistication. This woody floral musk fragrance opens with orris root and rum, creating a warm and inviting top note that transitions smoothly into an intricate heart of iris, rose, and jasmine. The base notes of oud, woods, and civetta add depth and complexity, grounding the composition in rich earthiness and powdery warmth.
Apply this fragrance with two sprays to allow it ample time to develop on your skin. The rum and orris root notes are bright but short-lived, so rely on the deeper base notes of oud and civetta for lasting warmth. This composition reads best close to the skin rather than from a distance.
