Launched in 2021 and crafted by Dominique Ropion, Vanilla Barka by Amouage is an Oriental Vanilla fragrance that marries the rich warmth of vanilla with aromatic spices and balsamic notes. The composition opens with a bold presence of vanilla, which quickly intertwines with the sweet depth of tonka bean and the smoky undertones of olibanum. This creates a sensory experience that is both comforting and complex, evoking the kind of sophistication that Amouage has become known for.
Apply Vanilla Barka with a light hand initially — the vanilla opening is potent and can become overwhelming if used too heavily. Allow it to develop over time; the base notes of tonka bean and olibanum will emerge after about an hour, offering a warm, lingering presence that suits both daytime and evening wear.
