The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2024, Jest by Andrea Maack is an Oriental Vanilla fragrance crafted by Julien Rasquinet. The composition opens with the sweet and fruity notes of plum and apple, which contrast beautifully against the warmth of cardamom and rum. As it evolves, chocolate and heliotrope add a rich depth, while vanilla and musk create a powdery, enveloping base. Jest is neither overly sweet nor heavy; instead, it balances its indulgent elements with a subtle spiciness that keeps it engaging throughout the day.
Apply Jest in light layers to allow its nuanced notes to unfold gradually. The rum and cardamom are prominent initially but give way to the chocolate and vanilla base after about an hour, making it a fragrance best suited for evening wear.
