The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2024, Zing by Andrea Maack is a Chypre Fruity fragrance created by perfumer Céline Barel. The composition opens with bright tangerine and mandarin orange that cut through the air like sunshine on skin, before ginger and carrot add a subtle warmth and spiciness to the mix. This fresh spicy accord gives way to mineral notes and musk, grounding the scent in earthy softness while patchouli and sandalwood provide a woody base that lingers close to the skin.
Zing is best applied in two sprays — the citrus opening is vibrant but fleeting, while the mineral and woody base notes develop over time. This fragrance stays close to the skin rather than projecting widely, making it perfect for daytime wear where you want a subtle yet invigorating scent.
