The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2022 by Andrea Maack, Magma is a unisex fragrance that captures the essence of an intense volcanic eruption. The composition opens with a burst of Madagascar pepper and lemon, creating a sharp contrast against the warm, enveloping amber and balsamic accords. As it evolves, rose and myrrh add layers of complexity, while saffron imparts a luxurious edge. The base notes of tonka bean, patchouli, and suede ground the fragrance with earthy warmth, making Magma a compelling blend of fiery intensity and rich depth.
Magma projects strongly from the initial Madagascar pepper and lemon notes but settles into its rich base over time. Apply it lightly to avoid overwhelming the subtle layers underneath. It pairs well with leather accessories, enhancing its earthy warmth.
