Mandarine Fauve by Atelier Cologne, launched in 2025 and crafted by perfumer Maurice Roucel, is a vibrant chypre fruity fragrance that celebrates the essence of wild citrus from Madagascar's Sava region. The composition begins with a fresh burst of green mandarin, a rare note requiring an immense amount of peel to produce just one kilogram of super essence. This bright top note gives way to fir and patchouli in the base, creating a refreshing and distinctive woody scent that is both crisp and distinctive.
Apply Mandarine Fauve sparingly to avoid overwhelming its nuanced layers. The green mandarin top note is bright and fleeting, so it's best to let the woody base notes emerge over time for a more balanced experience. This fragrance works well throughout the day but shines particularly in cooler weather when its fresh spiciness feels most invigorating.
