The story behind the bottle.
Philtre Ceylan by Atelier Cologne, launched in 2016 and created by perfumer Jérôme Epinette, is an aromatic fougère that seamlessly blends freshness with warmth. The fragrance opens with a vibrant burst of bergamot and mint, bringing a crispness to the composition. As it evolves, cardamom and black tea introduce a subtle spiciness, while green tea and iris flower provide a gentle floral note. The base notes of cumin, papyrus, and guaiac wood create an earthy warmth that anchors the scent, making Philtre Ceylan both refreshing and enveloping.
Apply Philtre Ceylan with two sprays for optimal wear. The top notes are bright but fade within an hour, so it's best to layer on a little more throughout the day if you want to maintain that initial freshness. The base notes will linger longer and provide warmth close to the skin.
