Launched in 2022 by Atelier des Ors, Noir is a woody and aromatic fragrance created by Marie Salamagne. The composition opens with incense and coriander, creating an initial savory and smoky tension that gives way to the heart notes of caviar and mate. This distinctive combination adds depth and complexity, while the base of dreamwood, sandalwood, guaiac wood, and cashmere wood provides a rich, balsamic warmth. The interplay between these elements results in a scent that is both intriguing and comforting.
Noir develops slowly on the skin, so it’s best to apply lightly at first. The base notes take about an hour to fully bloom, making it ideal for evening wear when you want a scent that evolves over time.
