Launched in 1990, Jais by Atkinsons is an Oriental Floral fragrance that weaves together woody and musky accords with vibrant green and fresh spicy notes. The composition opens with a burst of petitgrain, cassis, and basil before transitioning into the heart where tuberose, rose, jasmine, and narcissus create a lush floral bouquet. This floral warmth is grounded by base notes of civetta, castoreum, sandalwood, and vanilla, which lend an animalic depth and oriental richness to the overall composition.
Apply Jais to pulse points for a lasting effect — the fresh spicy top notes fade within an hour but are quickly replaced by the rich floral and woody base. This fragrance reads best when worn close to skin rather than sprayed liberally around the room.
