Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Raphael Haury crafted Pure Vetiver by Azzaro in 2000, creating a fragrance that embodies the brand’s signature Mediterranean luxury with a modern twist. The composition opens with fresh and spicy notes of ginger, pepper, and grapefruit, giving way to an aromatic heart of cardamom, lavender, and sea notes. At its core is vetiver, supported by artemisia, nutmeg flower, and rhubarb, grounding the scent in earthy warmth. This fragrance reflects Azzaro’s heritage of hedonistic elegance, reimagined through a harmonious blend of green, woody, and spicy accords.
Pure Vetiver is best applied in lighter sprays to allow its layers to unfold naturally throughout the day. The citrus-spicy opening fades within an hour, so reapply if you want that initial freshness. The base notes of vetiver and artemisia keep it warm and comforting for a full workday.
