Launched in 2007 by By Kilian and crafted by perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur, Cruel Intentions is a complex Oriental Woody fragrance that navigates the tension between warmth and depth. The composition opens with bergamot and African orange flower, bringing a sharp aromatic freshness to life. This lightness gradually gives way to the rich, smoky notes of oud and guaiac wood, which are anchored by powdery and leathery undertones. Vetiver and sandalwood add earthy warmth, while rose and violet lend floral complexity, creating an atmosphere that is both seductive and mysterious.
Apply Cruel Intentions to pulse points for maximum impact. The aromatic top notes are fleeting, so aim for the base and heart notes that develop over time. It’s best worn during cooler hours when its woody and leathery nuances can fully unfold.
