Launched in 2009 by Parfums de Marly, Shagya is a woody aromatic fragrance crafted by Sidonie Lancesseur. The composition begins with the freshness of lime and pink pepper, creating an immediate sense of vibrancy and energy. This bright opening gives way to the rich, smoky complexity of oud and vetiver, grounding the scent in deep earthiness. Virginia cedar adds a subtle warmth, while musk provides a soft, enveloping finish.
Apply Shagya in small amounts to allow its layers to unfold gradually. The citrus and spicy top notes are fleeting, so it's best experienced close to skin rather than from a distance. It pairs well with cooler weather, where the warmth of the base notes can be fully appreciated.
