Launched in 1980 by Caron and crafted by perfumer Gerard Lefort, Eau de Caron is a chypre fragrance that marries the freshness of citrus with the warmth of spices and woods. The composition opens with bright notes of lemon and bergamot, which cut through the richness of aldehydes and clary sage. As it evolves, floral heart notes like jasmine and orange blossom blend seamlessly into a base of benzoin, myrrh, and patchouli, creating a warm and earthy finish.
Apply this fragrance in layers for maximum impact. The bright top notes dissipate quickly, so reapply every few hours to maintain the full depth of its aroma. It pairs well with a light jacket or cardigan to keep it close to your skin.
