Launched in 2018, Montaigne by Caron is an Oriental Floral fragrance that captures the essence of French elegance and lasting sophistication. Created by perfumer Jean Claude Delville, this composition opens with a bright citrus-aromatic accord that includes orangewood, which gives way to a heart of jasmine, narcissus, and mimosa. The base notes of benzoin and vanilla anchor the scent with warmth and depth. Montaigne is designed to evoke the refined grace of its namesake — the city of Montaigne in France — where the air is filled with the subtle nuances of floral and woody accords.
Montaigne is long-lasting with strong projection, so one or two sprays are sufficient. The base notes take about an hour to bloom fully, so plan accordingly. This fragrance reads well close to skin and can be layered for a more intense experience.
