The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1992, Casmir by Chopard is an Oriental Vanilla fragrance that has become a cult favorite within the perfume community. Created by Michel Almairac, it sits alongside other iconic gourmand fragrances of its era like Angel from Mugler. The composition opens with bright tropical fruits and coconut, leading to a heart of floral notes such as jasmine and lily-of-the-valley, before settling into a warm vanilla and woody base. This combination has earned Casmir both fervent praise and criticism, making it a scent that polarizes its wearers — but those who love it remain fiercely loyal.
Casmir's gourmand notes can be intense, so one or two sprays are sufficient. The fragrance blooms after an hour, making it best suited for wear in the evening when its rich sweetness shines through.
