Oud Malaki by Chopard was launched in 2012, crafted by the renowned perfumer Dominique Ropion. This fragrance opens with bright notes of grapefruit and lavender before transitioning into a heart of tobacco, spices, and leather, creating an intriguing tension between freshness and warmth. The base features dark woody notes and ambergris, grounding the composition in rich, animalic undertones that evoke depth and complexity.
Apply Oud Malaki to pulse points and allow it to settle for about five minutes. The grapefruit and lavender top notes are fleeting but set the stage for the warm and rich base notes that emerge after an hour. This fragrance reads best close to skin, making it ideal for more intimate settings.
