Launched in 2012 by M. Micallef, Ylang in Gold is an Oriental Floral fragrance crafted by Jean-Claude Astier. The composition opens with a bright burst of bergamot and ylang-ylang, quickly giving way to a heart of rose and jasmine that adds a layer of floral sweetness. Sandalwood and vanilla create a warm, powdery base that envelops the wearer in a luxurious embrace. This fragrance stands out for its balance between sweet and woody notes, making it both comforting and elegant.
Apply this fragrance in light layers; the ylang-ylang and bergamot top notes are bright but fleeting. The base notes of sandalwood and vanilla take about an hour to fully bloom, so a subtle first application allows them to develop naturally throughout the day.
